Event Description:
Vaudeville was a major entertainment source for ordinary Americans from the 1880’s through the Great Depression.

At its height, Vaudeville appealed to the masses in auditoriums of all  sizes. The Ionia Theatre stage was built for Vaudeville-type performances and many acts performed there. 

Prof. Connors has taught theatre at CMU for 29 years and his research specialty is Late 19th-early 20th Century American Theatre.  The library and the theatre are pleased to bring him to Ionia to speak on this American art form.
